Argaka village is approximately 7km along the coastline to the North from Polis. It is a rural, agricultural village with a population of approximately 1,000. There are coffee shops and tavernas serving locally grown food and just along the coast a few minutes drive there are more establishments catering for the hungry visitor and locals alike. There are groceries / mini markets and a small Co-Op store. There are two churches, Ayia Varvara being the oldest. This part of the island is very fertile with an abundance of fruit trees including figs, grapes, prickly pears, apples, oranges and lemons. With the Paphos forest to the rear, you may get a chance to see the endangered ?Moufflon? at Stavros tis Psokas or hike down the nature trails yet at the same time have the sea only a short drive away.
